The Volkswagen Virtus sedan, which made its debut in India just lately, has already generated a lot of interest. The Vento will be replaced by the new VW sedan, which has a significantly more upscale appearance and feel. The Skoda Slavia, which debuted in India only a few months ago, shares its architecture.
Volkswagen Virtus and Skoda Slavia have many similarities, yet there are also many variances. Here, we’ll take a look at the two sedans’ spec sheets to see what’s what.
Volkswagen Virtus vs Skoda Slavia: Exterior & Dimensions
You wouldn’t know it by looking at the two cars, but their underpinnings are identical. VW Virtus is a continuation of the Vento’s design cues. This vehicle’s headlights, flanked by equally streamlined grilles, and prominent front bumper are clearly visible in the distance. The stylish bumper and elegant taillights can be seen at the back of the vehicle. A distinctive and athletic alloy wheel design is available in both all-black and dual tone options, depending on the model selected.
Skoda Slavia, on the other hand, is based on its older brother, the Octavia, in terms of design. With sharp headlights, a dynamic bumper, and the brand’s distinctive butterfly grille, the front of the car looks sleek and modern. Stylish dual-tone alloy wheels adorn the sides, while a C-shaped tail light design and a sporty rear bumper complete the look in the back.
Skoda Slavia and VW Virtus share the same ‘MQB A0 IN’ platform, resulting in comparable external dimensions. Even if the VW is a touch longer, their stylish and expensive looks would put them squarely on the same level in terms of road presence.

Volkswagen Virtus vs Skoda Slavia: Interior & Features
Unlike the VW Taigun, the interior design of Virtus has a large dashboard with colourful accents throughout. A 10-inch touchscreen in the dashboard and a three-spoke steering wheel are also included (multi-functional). The black and beige colour scheme has a sporty but upscale feel to it.
Volkswagen is expected to provide several luxury amenities, including an electric sunroof; automatic temperature control; ventilated front seats; coolable glovebox; ambient lighting; keyless entry/go; completely digital instrument dashboard; linked vehicle technology; etc.
The inside of the Skoda Slavia has a lot more beige than black, which contributes to the spaciousness of the space. A floating 10-inch infotainment touchscreen sits in the centre of the dashboard, giving it an upscale appearance. Kushaq-style two-spoke steering wheel controls the multi-function steering wheel.
These include amenities such as an electric sunroof, keyless enter and go, ambient lighting in the interior with ventilated seats, chilled glovebox, tyre pressure monitor, hill-hold assist, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and Skoda Connect (connected vehicle technology), among other things.
Volkswagen Virtus vs Skoda Slavia: Engine & Performance
A 1.0L turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5L turbo-petrol engine are offered in the new Volkswagen car. Automatic transmissions are available for both engines: a torque converter for the smaller engine and a dual-clutch system for the bigger one.
Slavia’s engine and gearbox choices are the same as VW’s. A six-speed manual or a six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox are both available for the 1.0L turbo-petrol engine. Both a 6-speed manual gearbox and a dual clutch automatic transmission are available for the 1.5L turbo-petrol engine.

Volkswagen Virtus vs Skoda Slavia: Price
When the Volkswagen Virtus goes on sale in India, which is most likely in the coming months, the exact pricing will be made public. It costs Rs. 10.69 lakh to Rs. 15.39 lakh for the 1.0L models of the Skoda Slavia, while the 1.5L variants vary in price from Rs. 16.19 lakh to Rs. 17.79 lakh (all prices mentioned are ex-showroom, New Delhi).
In light of the fact that the VW sedan was presented with higher standard equipment, we anticipate it to be more costly than the Slavia.
