One of India’s most popular subcompact SUVs is Hyundai Venue. Hyundai’s Indian sales are 18% to 20% boosted by this model. Overall, it is a well-balanced package in terms of both mechanical and interior design. Hyundai, on the other hand, is updating the Venue for the 2022 model year due to increased competition.

As a Hyundai global brand product, Venue may be found on shelves in countries like the United States, Australia, and a slew of others. Hyundai, on the other hand, is expected to introduce the Venue in India initially, before moving on to other markets, as they did in 2019. The Hyundai Venue is a B-segment SUV in India’s fierce B-segment SUV marketplace.

Facelifted 2022 Hyundai Venue Leaked

Some Hyundai dealerships are taking advance booking unofficially. Hyundai’s website has stopped taking orders for the current model. Pre-facelift Venue bookings should only be accepted by dealers who have inventory of the specific pre-facelift versions in question. Pre-facelift model bookings for the DCT and iMT versions have been put on hold.

Images show that the leaked version is the Turbo model in matte red colour. All four sides, as well as a top view, of the upcoming Venue 2022 renovation have been released.

Facelifted 2022 Hyundai Venue Specifications & Design

Tucson like front fascia will be used for the Hyundai Venue facelift, which will be unveiled later this year. The facelifted Creta is expected to use the same design language. Sleek LED DRLs just below the bonnet and squarish headlamp modules below the split headlight design of the previous model remain. This vehicle’s fog lights are going to be located lower in the front bumper.

Venue’s front and rear bumpers will include faux skid plates and be slightly altered. As for the wheels, they’ve been upgraded to 16″ alloys with a two-tone paint job. Taillights will be restyled to provide a more streamlined and larger appearance. LED elements are also added to the SUV’s rear lighting, giving it a more upscale appearance.

The 1.2-liter naturally aspirated Kappa petrol engine, which produces 82 horsepower and 114 pound-feet of torque, is the base model. The transmission is a five-speed manual. The most powerful gasoline engine is a 1.0-liter Kappa Turbo GDi with 118 horsepower and 172 pound-feet of torque. Either a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed iMT, or a 7-speed DCT is available to go with it. 1.5L turbocharged U2 CRDi is the diesel engine, producing 99 horsepower and 240 nm. Powered by a six-speed manual transmission. Similarly to the Sonet, a 6-speed torque converter is slated to be included in the upcoming facelifted diesel versions of the Venue.

Specifications & Price

Front-facing parking sensors and an all-around camera system will be standard equipment on the restyled Hyundai Venue. It will also have Bose speakers, heated front seats, and a larger touchscreen display for the infotainment system. Minor changes to the inside, such as new seat upholstery and new interior colour schemes, are also expected.

Like the i20 hatchback, the Venue is slated to get an N-Line trim level from Hyundai. The same 1.0L turbo petrol engine will be used, and it will be available in iMT and DCT transmissions. It will also have a few cosmetic changes on the interior and outside to distinguish it from the regular models.

Expected to start at roughly Rs. 7 lakh (ex-sh) for the revamped Venue. The Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger will have to make way for it. It will go on sale at the same time as the Toyota Urban Cruiser, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Kia Sonet, XUV 300, and Tata Nexon, which is now the best-selling vehicle in its class and in India.

Hyundai Venue 2022 Facelift Launch Date
