Maruti Suzuki Baleno CNG launched in India. Prices start at Rs 8.28 lakh, and go up to Rs 9.21 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Maruti Baleno, the first premium hatchback of its class to come with a factory-fitted CNG system. The Baleno CNG is priced at Rs 95,000 more than its petrol counterpart. This, along with the launched alongside, are the first Nexa models to receive the CNG treatment.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno CNG – engine and fuel efficiency
The 1.2-litre four-cylinder K12N engine is used in the Baleno CNG. However, in CNG-spec it produces 77.5hp and 98.5Nm respectively, as opposed to the petrol-powered 90hp, 113Nm, and 120Nm. Baleno CNG comes with a 55-litre CNG fuel tank. This significantly reduces the vehicle’s boot space.
The Baleno CNG, as with other CNG models, is only available with the 5-speed manual transmission and not with the AMT. Maruti claims that the Baleno CNG has a fuel consumption of 30.61 km/kg.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno CNG: Trims and Features
Maruti will only offer the factory-fitted CNG kits on the Baleno on the Zeta and Delta trims. Toyota, on the other hand, will offer the Glanza CNG with three trims including the top-spec V trim. The top-end of the Glanza CNG will likely have more features than the Baleno CNG.

The Baleno CNG Zeta trim has a lot of features, including LED projector headlamps (16-inch alloys), 7.0-inch infotainment screen with SmartPlay Pro+ system, voice assistance, connected car tech with OTA upgrades, start/stop buttons, six airbags.
