The two-wheeler industry in India is in for a whirlwind of activity in 2022. In the coming year, Indian two-wheeler manufacturers plan to release mid and high-capacity models. Here is the list of top upcoming bikes in India

  1. Honda CBR300RHonda CBR300R

The Honda CBR300R will be powered by a 286cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that produces 31PS at 8,500rpm and 27Nm at 7,250rpm when it goes on sale in April 2022. A six-speed gearbox is connected to the engine. The claimed top speed of the upcoming CBR300R is 157 kmph. In addition to the low seating position (785mm), the bike has a wide range of adjustments for the front forks (37mm telescopic) and the rear shock (adjustable mono shock).

 

  1. KTM RC390KTM RC390

There will be an India debut for the new KTM RC390 soon. Single-cylinder liquid-cooled 373.27cc engine with 43.5 PS of power and a six-speed transmission will continue to be used in the bike. A dual-channel ABS, adjustable front and rear suspension, and a digital TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity are all expected features. In addition, a new split trellis frame will be added to the bike.

 

  1. Royal Enfield Hunter 350Royal Enfield Hunter 350

Several Royal Enfield test bikes have been spotted in India, indicating that the company intends to introduce several new models there. With a 349cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine, it’s likely to be called “Hunter 350,” just like the Classic 350 and the Meteor 350 before it. The five-speed gearbox will be standard on the entry-level roadster. This motorcycle will be one of Royal Enfield’s cheapest offerings when it goes on sale.

  1. Aprilia RS 150Aprilia RS 15

The Aprilia RS 150, a popular European supersport bike derived from the RS 125, is expected to be introduced in India in the near future. An 18-horsepower, 14-north torque 150cc, four-valve, liquid-cooled engine will power it, which will be coupled to a six-speed transmission. The production version will feature ABS, fixed brake callipers, and upside-down front forks, which were previously shown at the Auto Expo. According to the manufacturer, the Aprilia RS 150 will get between 40 and 45 kilometres per gallon.

 

  1. Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650

A 650cc cruiser for the Indian market is being developed by RE, as well. An air-cooled 648cc single-cylinder engine with 47.65 PS and 52 Nm of torque will be used in the new ‘Super Meteor 650’ motorcycle, which is expected to be unveiled later this year. It will be coupled with a six-speed transmission. The bike is expected to have a semi-digital instrument console, a halogen headlight, dual exhaust pipes, alloy wheels, USD front forks, and disc brakes at the front and back.
